Good mattress! Within the first week my back pain had disappeared.
Last night was the first time on the new mattress and I have to say it was excellent.
The name No1 is no coincidence. With patented interacting spring systems plus 14 hand teased layers of the finest natural materials, we will take you to a whole new level of sleep. The zoned springs in the centre of the mattress are affixed one by one and react individually to pressure. The effect is extraordinary: Two people in the same bed lie in their own circle, without the movements of one interrupting the other.
Quality this exclusive is hard to exceed. Yet, we test ourselves by perfecting our methods even further. Take the No1, for example. We partition the horsehair into thinner yet more generous layers between even more plentiful layers of hand teased alpaca, bamboo, mohair, wool and cotton. Hand-layering the fibres together is a skill requiring patience and experience. Naturally, this intensive process is worth it. The luxuriously airy, supple result is a masterpiece of quality and comfort.
All of the fibres within our mattress are hand-tufted to ensure proper spread and secure the filling in place. The outside layer on either side consists of Hand Teased Alpaca. This is followed by a layer of Bamboo, a layer of Hand Teased Mohair and a layer of Hand Teased Horsehair. After this, a layer of British Cotton is placed between layers of Hand Teased Wool all supported by Organic Flax.
Our mattress features seven layers of springs, so you can be sure you’ll receive all the support you need. While the central layer consists of 1,500 reactive pocket springs, each of the other layers are composed of 2,000 3D, 7-Zoned Micro Coils. The layer of pocket springs is flanked by the micro coils, with three layers positioned above and three below. This creates a symmetrical design that can be flipped regularly to increase its lifespan.

This mattress is elite. I have slept on some very expensive mattresses in my life time but none of them have come close to the feel of the Winstons Beds No1. I was hesitant at first and I believed I would be dissatisfied, however I was the opposite. This mattress is worth every penny and provides myself and my wife a rested nights sleep every night. I phone Winstons Beds and told them which mattress I wanted and that I am a side sleeper with arthritis in my shoulders and knees. They asked a few questions including my weight and from my answers recommend which firmness I should buy, because I only weighed 8 stone I was told a soft mattress was needed.
The mattress itself is wonderful. Extremely thick and feels soft as a cloud.
Delivery is made by a 3rd party service who take my mattress to my room of choice and unpacked it, taking away all the rubbish. This was essential as I would not have been able to carry this mattress upstairs myself due to its weight.
Overall I am Phone customer care – took a while to get through – told them which mattress I wanted and that I am a side sleeper with arthritis in my shoulders and hips. They asked a few questions and from my answers recommend which firmness I should buy.
Can’t order over the phone only online making payment via a third-party, not ideal as this could possibly affect your rights on credit card returns.
The mattress itself is very good, but not like sleeping on a cloud. Very faint smell when unpack, hardly noticeable.
Delivery is made by a third-party delivered to the bedroom carefully unpacked laid on the bed base rolled out to reinflate. (Comes vacuumed packed).
Overall I am blown away with this purchase and would recommend anyone looking for a new mattress should certainly consider and take a look at Winstons Beds.

My wife and I were in need of a new bed and mattress, Previously we have had a Vispring Mattress and bed. Having had this for eight years, I can honestly say it was the best mattress I had ever had Until I tried a Winstons mattress. I ordered a Winstons mattress in medium firm, it had seven rows of hand side stitching and 100% natural fillings. They also put eight handles on the mattress which made it very convenient to turn and rotate. With this I also ordered a four drawer sprung divan bed base and chesterfield headboard.
I will start with saying the divan bed and headboard are single-handedly the best quality Bed base and headboard I have ever had the pleasure of purchasing in my 75 years of life.The Winstons mattress though was something completely out of this world, the comfort, hand crafting, the materials used and all in all quality of this mattress have amazed me.I am very grateful to have had the pleasure of doing business with such a great company

The team at Winstons beds are incredibly knowledgeable mattress experts. Every time I spoke to someone at their office, there was no making it up or guess work. I love there website, there is so much information and video guides, it makes picking the right mattress easy and it’s clear that the support they offer doesn’t end the moment you pay.
As for the mattress itself I purchased a 1500 7 row mattress, absolutely fantastic and amazing. 100/100. It’s beautifully hand made and unbelievably comfortable. Still shocked at how good of a price it was!!!

Generally I won’t purchase from anyone who has less than 100 reviews and that’s 100 5 star reviews minimum.
I only purchased from Winstons beds because a good friend stated they make the best mattresses he had ever slept on.
So I took the plunge and purchased a Winstons Ultimate Collection 6FT Super King 100% Natural Mattress with 13500 pocket springs and 7 rows of genuine side stitching with a 4 Draw Divan and panelled headboard in 100% linen fabric.
I looked at similar products which by the way there were not many of apart from other high end sellers such as Savior, Vi Spring, Hastens and John Lewis.
All of there similar sets though would cost me over £20000, Now I have already had a Hastens mattress what I paid £14500 for and it is amazing. I tried a savior and John Lewis ultimate collection mattress rrp of £18000. They were also amazing.
So you can see why I was hesitant to buy from Winstons as they were promising me a better mattress for 25% of the price.
The mattress arrived and the delivery drivers whom were so polite took the mattress upstairs and the bed.
They unpacked the bed first and put it together with my headboard. So far I was very very very very very !!!!! Impressed, the sheer quality, I was shocked !
Now came the main part for me, the mattress!
They took the packaging off and laid it on my bed!!! AMAZING !!! I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH A BEAUTIFUL MATTRESS!!!!!!
3 MONTHS ON………. I STILL LOVE IT, ITS SO COMFORTABLE AND MUCH BETTER THAN MY OLD HASTENS MATTRESS !
