Handmade in the UK from sustainable timber, our Shallow Divan features a unique Pocket Spring support system that’s integrated into a beautifully-finished timber-edged frame. This popular design reinforces the edges of the divan, ensuring you no longer suffer from sagging or that uncomfortable ‘roll-off’ sensation. A classic, piped finish means there are no staples on show, while the links that join the two sections of the divan are also hidden from sight. Our Shallow Divan is compatible with all Winston’s mattresses.

Edge to edge Support

Featuring an innovative pocket spring system, in which each of the springs within the divan is mounted in its own fabric pocket, our design offers edge to edge support and maximises usable space. Mounting the springs individually allows them to move independently of one another, ensuring the system is better equipped to support your mattress.

Split Design with Hidden Linkage

All of our shallow divans benefit from a split design. Both more practical and more versatile than traditional, one-piece frames, the split divan is ideal for use in loft spaces, smaller homes and rooms with tricky or limited access. Divans that measure less than 160cm in length are split in two across the width of the bed, while longer divans are split from head to tail.

Delivery

• Delivery lead time for traditional natural mattresses: Our beds and mattresses are handmade to the highest quality, and therefore we take a little while longer than your high street stockpile seller, we will have your mattress despatched within 4-7 weeks and your bed within 5-7 weeks from the date the order is placed. If you order a bed and mattress they will be sent together unless you request for your mattress to be despatched earlier. Our courier will contact you via sms to confirm a delivery date.
• Delivery lead time for bed in a box mattress: We will have your bed in a box mattress in your room within 48-72 hours from the date the order is placed. Our courier will contact you via sms to confirm a delivery date.
• Please Note: Clearance items will be delivered within 7 working days of the order being placed.
• Our courier: A dedicated courier for a reliable and efficient 2-man white glove delivery service.
• 3-hour time slot: Our courier will call or text you before your delivery with a 3-hour time slot.
• Trained delivery team: Our fully trained couriers are dedicated to providing you with an excellent service.
• Delivery costs: To most parts of the UK we deliver for free, but unfortunately we can’t deliver free everywhere, and this is why we have built-in a delivery cost calculator onto our checkout page, put in your full postcode for an accurate delivery price.
• Monday – Saturday delivery: For your convenience, we offer delivery Monday to Saturday from 7 am to 7 pm.
• Preparing your delivery: To help make sure your delivery goes smoothly. We ask if you can make sure your room of choice is tidy, clear and ready to receive your new mattress or bed. We recommend that you remove any mirrors, hanging pictures or ornaments along the route to the room of choice. Our courier will send you an email or text message a few days before delivery to confirm your delivery date and 3-hour time slot. You will have the option at this point to accept or decline the date and time.
• Collection of your old bed and mattress: We ask that furniture & beds are fully dismantled and ready for removal.
• Doorstep delivery: If you do not want an in-home service, our courier will be happy for you to opt for a doorstep delivery instead
• Failed delivery: If any goods are returned back to us due to inadequate access or the customer not being available, we reserve the right to make a charge of £63 to cover the cost of the failed delivery.

Please note: Do not sign any delivery slip until you have fully inspected the goods as this will waive any rights you have to claim against damages.

Please note: Our mattresses and beds are delivered by our courier at a pre-notified delivery time to the delivery address stated on the order. Any change of address may incur a charge.

Please note: Responsibility for any mattress or bed, once ordered, will rest with the customer who must ensure that the mattress or bed will fit through relevant doors and passageways. On the day of delivery, the customer must ensure that all obstructions are removed and that any valuables are safeguarded against accidental damage. The courier company or Winston’s Beds, will not be held responsible for removing furniture or other items from any room into which the mattress or bed are not being delivered.

Please note: Our courier may ask you to sign a property damage waiver before they take any item upstairs, if this is not ok, please advise us prior, and we will only be able to offer doorstep delivery. Winstons Beds cannot be held liable for any damages to property if a waiver is signed or not signed. If a damage waiver is not requested to be signed by the courier please contact the courier company regards to any damages.
