While the timber frame reinforces the edges of the divan and prevents roll-off, additional support is provided by the Pocket Spring system that covers the top of the bed. Designed to provide edge to edge support and to maximise usable space, the Pocket Spring system also softens the feel of your mattress. Topped with a centre-split Ludwig headboard and featuring a piped finish that utilises no visible staples, our Shallow Divan can be used in conjunction with any one of our Winston’s mattresses.

Practical Split Divan Design
Our Shallow Divan is divided into two parts, with the orientation of the split dependant on the length of the bed. Divans with a length less than 160cm are split across the width of the bed, while larger divans are split head to toe. The two-part system makes manoeuvring the divan much easier and means they’re a popular choice for smaller bedrooms or spaces with narrow staircases or tricky access routes. A concealed linking system holds the two halves firmly in position and prevents them from separating when in use.
Range of Customisable Options
To ensure that you have complete control over how your divan looks, we offer a range of customisable options. Customers can choose from a colour wheel that contains more than 50 colours, while several materials such as linen, velvet and cotton can be used for the upholstery. With our Shallow Divan, six different styles of bed leg are available, ranging from solid wood to cast iron.
Centre-Split Ludwig Headboard
The Ludwig Headboard’s sleek look and classic, cleaved design mean that it’s just as suited to retro or rustic bedrooms as it is in a room designed with a more contemporary décor. Attached to your divan with standard UK headboard fixings, the Ludwig brings a touch of understated style to your home.
