What Makes a Mattress Organic?
Technically speaking, no mattress is 100% organic. Even the most eco friendly mattresses or natural mattresses contain springs, sealants, and other components that are at least partly synthetic. However, truly organic materials may be used to construct the mattress, and in the case of Winstons, our mattresses and beds are primarily made of such materials.
Certifications help us separate mattresses with sustainable materials from their impersonators. The certification should come from an impartial organisation and not be affiliated with a brand.
Finding a high-quality organic mattress can be difficult, but a fantastic night’s sleep shouldn’t be difficult. We spend a third of our lives in bed sleeping, yet the typical mattress contains a cocktail of chemicals and flame retardants.
Nowadays, buyers have more choices. A new variety of organic mattress brands are shaking things up by providing better options for their customers and the environment. Winstons Beds meets the following criteria:
Natural & Organic
These organic mattresses use a range of certified organic materials, including GOTS certified organic cotton, natural latex and GOTS certified organic wool. No mattress contains toxic chemicals or harsh flame retardants.
Each mattress applies eco-friendly production methods. All are made right here in the UK, reducing their environmental footprint by keeping production locally. Comfort is key. Each of our eco friendly mattresses has only received 5-star reviews for high-quality comfort and better sleep.
