What type of wool do we use in our mattresses?
At our company, we use only the finest wools in our mattresses. Our hand-selected, luxurious wools ensure top quality and provide numerous benefits for our customers.
We start with hand-teased pure cashmere, sourced from the soft undercoat of cashmere goats. This wool is famous for its softness, excellent insulation, and breathability. It’s one of the most luxurious and expensive wools available.
Next, we use hand-teased merino wool, known for its incredible softness and fine texture. Originating from Spain and now primarily found in Australia and New Zealand, merino wool offers exceptional breathability and moisture-wicking properties, perfect for any climate.
Our hand-teased Shropshire wool comes from the Shropshire breed of sheep, native to the UK. This wool is plush, resilient, and provides superior comfort.
We also use hand-teased Peruvian white baby alpaca wool. This wool is softer, lighter, and warmer than most others. Sourced from baby alpacas in Peru, it is hypoallergenic and known for its silky-smooth texture.
Our British Highland wool, or Cheviot wool, comes from Cheviot sheep in the UK’s mountainous areas. This robust, springy wool is highly resilient and durable.
The English lambswool we use is exceptionally soft and highly resilient. It provides excellent insulation, helping to regulate body temperature for a comfortable night’s sleep.
Finally, our British fleece wool and cotton blend offers a natural, breathable layer. The wool provides superior temperature regulation, while the cotton adds softness and durability. Both materials are responsibly sourced within the UK.
Each type of wool brings unique benefits to our mattresses, enhancing comfort and luxury for an exceptional sleep experience.
The premium quality of these materials is reflected in the cost of our natural wool mattress collection. For more insights, check our wool mattress reviews to find the best wool mattress for your needs.
