Guarantee Conditions:
Note: For The Duke, The No2, The Dreamer, The Highland, and The Heritage, only the core mattress is covered by the 30-year guarantee, while the accompanying topper is covered by a 2-year guarantee.
Your sole remedy under a Winston’s Beds guarantee is a replacement, repair, or a credit note up to the purchase price of the original item (as applicable).
Other Winston’s Beds products are covered by guarantees as follows:
100-Night Trial and 60-Night Love it or Return it Guarantee
The 100-night trial is applicable only to mattresses purchased from www.winstonsbeds.com or www.winstonsbeds.co.uk and remaining within the UK or Ireland. It is exclusive to the original purchaser and non-transferable. Claims must be submitted via email to the Winston’s Beds customer service team within 99 days, but no sooner than 30 days, along with proof of purchase and images of all mattress sides. The trial does not cover mattresses damaged due to improper use, accidental damage, unauthorized repairs, unsanitary conditions, or willful damage.
Clearance mattresses and beds are excluded from the 100-night trial, which also does not cover normal wear and tear. Failure to follow care instructions, removing mattress labels, or non-compliance with these conditions may void the trial. The trial period starts on the delivery date and lasts for 100 nights.
Returned mattresses must be clean, sanitary, and enclosed in 2 heavy-duty mattress bags with proof of purchase. In the case of a zip and link order, only one half of the order can be exchanged. A mattress protector must be used for the 100-night trial mattresses. The 100-night trial does not apply to mattress toppers for The Dreamer, The Highland, The Heritage, The Duke, and The No2; only the core mattress is eligible.
The 100-night trial offered by Winstons Beds is restricted to a single replacement, retaining the same model, size, and mattress ticking (fabric). If the specified model, size, or fabric is unavailable, Winstons Beds retains the prerogative to provide a suitable alternative. In scenarios involving zip and link mattresses, only one among the pair will be eligible for exchange, with conversions to a one-piece mattress disallowed.
The 100-night trial is solely available to the original purchaser and is only applicable to mattresses which remain within the country of purchase. If you choose to upgrade to a more expensive model during this period, you will be responsible for paying the difference between the price you originally paid for your item, taking into account any discounts received, and the full recommended retail price of the more expensive model.
On the contrary, if you decide to switch to a less expensive model, please note that you will not receive a refund for the price difference. This policy is due to the fact that returned mattresses inevitably undergo a reduction in value, preventing us from re-selling these items at their full original price.
Eligible Mattress Models for the 100-Night Trial include The Ancoats, The Rochester, The Dreamer, The Shropshire, The Highland, The Sherwood, The Heritage, The Grand Luxe, The Duke, The No1, and The No2.
Terms for Returning Mattress Toppers from Pillow Top Mattress Sets
If you decide to return a mattress topper that was purchased as a part of a pillow top mattress set (The Dreamer, The Highland, The Heritage, The Duke, or The No2) during your 14-day statutory return period, please be aware of the following terms:
When you return the mattress topper from the pillow top mattress set, the mattress will be considered as the non-pillow top version of that model:
Your refund amount will be calculated based on the difference between what you paid for the pillow top model and the non-sale price of the non-pillow top model at the time of the return. This means that you will be refunded for the cost of the topper as part of the set, not the cost of the topper as if it was purchased separately.
If you decide to return the topper, you have two options:
Please note that if we have to collect the topper, there will be a collection charge of up to £300, depending on your location. Additionally, due to the diminished value of the used and handled topper, we will deduct the collection charge along with up to 30% of the topper’s price from your refund amount.
2. 60-Night Love it or Return it Guarantee
The 60-Night Love it or Return it Guarantee applies only to Alderley and Pro mattress models. Customers must use a mattress protector during the trial period and may request a return after a minimum of 30 nights and within 60 nights by emailing their order number to [email protected]. Returns will not be accepted after the 60-night trial period has expired.
Customers must purchase their own mattress packaging for returns, with a recommended gauge strength of at least 500g and a minimum of 2 bags. Refunds will be processed within seven days of the inspection date, excluding any collection fees up to £100 and will be issued through the original payment method. Delivery charges from the original order will not be refunded.
Customers are responsible for properly packing the products for return. If inadequate care results in damage or deterioration, Winstons Beds will seek to recover the reduction in value from the refund. Winstons Beds will cover return or collection costs if products are faulty, arrive damaged, or if customers are ending the contract due to Winstons Beds’ error. In other circumstances, customers must cover return or collection costs.
No returns will be accepted if damages are reported after the customer has signed the delivery slip. Refunds may take up to 14 working days to process, and the maximum refund for delivery costs will be the cost of the least expensive delivery method offered by Winstons Beds.
14-Day Return Policy, Bed Linen Return Policy, and Hold and Delivery Process Disclaimer
14-Day Return Policy
This policy exclusively applies to The Essentials Orthopaedic mattress, The Elite & The Pashmina mattress, and Mattress toppers purchased separately that are not part of a pillow-top mattress model, such as The Dreamer, The Highland, The Heritage, The Duke, and The No2 models. You have 14 days from the delivery date of the product to arrange a return. If you end the contract for any reason after the products have been delivered, you must allow a courier of our choice to collect them from you.
You are required to ensure that the products are adequately packed for return, and we recommend purchasing a minimum 500g mattress packaging bag and at least two mattress bags. Failure to take reasonable care of the products before their return, resulting in damage or deterioration, will lead us to seek recovery of the reduction in value from any refund due to you.
We will cover the return or collection costs if the products are faulty, arrive damaged, or if you are ending the contract because you have a legal right to do so due to our wrongdoing. In all other situations, you will be responsible for return or collection costs.
Please note that if you accept the items and report damages after signing the delivery slip, we will not be able to accept a return. Upon receipt of the products, we will notify you and arrange a refund. Please be aware that refunds may take up to 14 days to process. The maximum refund for delivery costs will be the expense of delivery by the least expensive delivery method we offer.
Bed Linen Return Policy
Bed linen products are procured upon your request, and we cannot accept returns or cancellations once an order has been placed. Custom-made bed linen orders are non-returnable. Due to stringent hygiene regulations, we are unable to accept returns of duvets, pillows, throws, flat sheets, fitted sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, and mattress protectors, except in the case of defects.
Refunds for faulty products will only be issued if the items are returned in their original packaging, unused, and in the same condition as they were sent to you. If returned items are found unpackaged or in a different condition than they were sent, we will not accept the return and will not process a refund or exchange. You will also be responsible for the shipping costs associated with returning these items to you. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Change or Cancellation Fee Clause
In the event that an order for “The Essentials Orthopaedic,” “The Elite,” “The Alderley,” or “The Pashmina” mattresses is cancelled, or if a request is made to alter the size or spring tension from the original specification after 24 hours from the time of order placement, such changes or cancellations will incur a fee of £100.
Hold and Delivery Process Disclaimer: Limitation of Liability for Damages
We will not be held responsible for any damages sustained during transit for items held and delivered at a later date per the customer’s request. The storage of items in a warehouse is distinct from the transit process and is subject to different conditions and risks. Items stored in a warehouse may be exposed to various hazards, such as dust, moisture, temperature fluctuations, handling by third-party personnel, and other factors that could result in damage.
Since these potential damages are unrelated to the transit process, the seller is not accountable for them, as the customer has requested the item to be held and delivered at a later date.
