We’re confident you will love your mattress from the first night – but we give you 100 nights to be sure. This will be enough time for your body to fully adjust to your new mattress. If you decide to exchange your Winstons mattress, we’ll collect it for free and deliver your new mattress simultaneously, so you are not left without a mattress to sleep on.
To initiate the 100-night trial, inform our Customer Service team within 100 days after delivery. The mattress must not be damaged, marked or soiled. We recommend using a mattress protector during this period to avoid any possible damage.
To help us to collect your mattress to be exchanged as fast and safely as possible, we’ll ask you to wrap and seal it in two heavy-duty bags we’ll send out to you for free in advance.
If you don’t receive your bag within 7 days of initiating the exchange, please contact our Customer Services team, who’ll arrange for another set of bags to be sent. You’ll need to ensure the mattress is wrapped in both bags, sealed and ready before the courier arrives.
Our guarantee aims to protect our customers for a fixed time. To demonstrate our confidence in our products and undoubtedly our reputation, we will repair or replace the faulty component if your mattress or bed base fails within the set guarantee period. We will bear the expense of correcting faulty workmanship or components.
Our mattresses and beds are guaranteed for 30 years, meaning they should be usable, showing only normal signs of 30 years of wear and tear. However, there should be no complete failure of components. If you believe this is the case, then all you have to do is to contact us.
As our future or present customers have peace of mind that the artisans who make our mattresses and beds have over 95 years of British handcrafting heritage, you are assured of the highest quality at all times and that we will do all we can to keep you happy.

Doorstep delivery
The following mattresses will receive doorstep delivery only: The Elite, The Essentials Orthopaedic, The Alderley (Single Size), The Pashmina (Single Size).
The courier will deliver to your doorstep only; they won’t enter your home, assemble the product, or take away old items.
Our courier will contact you 24 hours before confirming your delivery date.
Please note offshore deliveries to Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Guernsey and Jersey will only have a doorstep delivery.
Failed deliveries for doorstep delivery
If goods are returned due to inadequate access, mattress or beds not fitting or unavailability, charges of £45 to £100 will apply for re-arranging delivery (one-time free delivery offered by Winstons).
Any change of address, availability, or request to change the delivery date once scheduled will be considered a failed delivery, and charges may apply.
Failed deliveries for two-man room of choice delivery
If goods are returned due to inadequate access or unavailability, charges of £43 to £256 may apply for re-arranging delivery (one-time free delivery offered by Winstons).
Any change of address, availability, or request to change the delivery date within 48 hours of the scheduled delivery will be considered a failed delivery, and charges may apply.
Two-man room of choice
The following mattresses will receive two-man room-of-choice delivery only: The Alderley (Double size and above), The Pashmina (Double size and above), The Ancoats, The Rochester, The Dreamer, The Shropshire, The Highland, The Sherwood, The Heritage, The Grand Luxe, The Aura, The Duke, The No1, The No2, Bed Bases, Headboards.
Goods will be delivered to the room of your choice with careful handling by the couriers.
Preparing for your delivery
Ensure your room of choice is tidy, clear, and ready to receive the mattress or bed.
Remove any mirrors, hanging pictures, or ornaments along the route to the room of choice.
Our courier will send you an email or text message a few days before delivery to confirm the date and 3-hour time slot, giving you the option to accept or decline.
Hold and Delivery Process Disclaimer: Limitation of Liability for Damages
We are not liable for damages incurred during transit for items held and delivered at a later date as per customer request.
Warehouse storage conditions may expose items to hazards, and potential damages are not related to the transit process.
Damage waiver for two-man room of choice
Our courier may ask you to sign a property damage waiver before taking items upstairs.
Winstons Beds cannot be held liable for any property damage.
Refusing to sign the damage waiver may result in a failed delivery, and charges may apply.
Collections for Essentials Ortho, Elite, Alderley & Pashmina
Should you find that the mattress doesn’t quite meet your expectations after a minimum of 30 nights and a maximum of 60 nights, please get in touch with us at [email protected], quoting your order number. Please be aware that you’ll need to procure a mattress bag for returning the mattress. We can suggest suitable bags and provide links for where they can be purchased. These bags will be recycled once the mattress is returned to us, and won’t be sent back to you. If, however, you’d like the bags to be returned to you, please inform us when you’re returning the mattress. Bear in mind that you would need to cover the postage cost for us to send the bags back to you.

I was hesitant buying from Winstons Beds initially because it felt too good to be true that they were able to give better specs than the likes of Vispring and Hypnos but I thought I’ll give them a go due to the fact they were members of the furniture ombudsman, regulated by the financial conduct authority which means they were a highly compliant and legitimate company and even though they only had 62 reviews on google and over 500 reviews on their website they were all 5 stars. I purchased the 2 row 3000 pocket spring pillow top mattress in king size. They advised delivery would be within 4-6 weeks but got it to me within 3 weeks which was super. The delivery guys were excellent, brought the mattress into my bedroom, the mattress is over 90kg.
From the very first night the mattress was comfortable. I’ve now had it for 4 months and I am extremely happy. The mattress feel is firm as I had ordered. I cannot praise Winstons Beds enough, they really do live upto what they state that they make the best mattresses in the UK. Over the years I have had vispring, Hypnos and a hastens mattress which I had paid much more for but Winstons beat them all by miles.
First class company with first class products. I have attached images for everyone to make their own judgement on the aesthetics, they are simply wonderful. They were not kidding when they said everything is made by hand and they are master craftsman. excellent!
