Hand teasing is a labour-intensive process of separating the fibres of the natural fillings used in the layers of the mattress. You will achieve more plush upholstery by carefully hand-teasing the fillings into even layers. Hand teased fillings also provide a luxurious loft, excellent resilience and help regulate body temperature and encourage the evaporation of body moisture. Creating a more comfortable and fresh sleeping environment.

100 Night Trial

We’re confident you will love your mattress from the first night – but we give you 100 nights to be sure. This will be enough time for your body to fully adjust to your new mattress. If you decide to exchange your Winstons mattress, we’ll collect it for free and deliver your new mattress simultaneously, so you are not left without a mattress to sleep on.

To initiate the 100-night trial, inform our Customer Service team within 100 days after delivery. The mattress must not be damaged, marked or soiled. We recommend using a mattress protector during this period to avoid any possible damage.

To help us to collect your mattress to be exchanged as fast and safely as possible, we’ll ask you to wrap and seal it in two heavy-duty bags we’ll send out to you for free in advance.

If you don’t receive your bag within 7 days of initiating the exchange, please contact our Customer Services team, who’ll arrange for another set of bags to be sent. You’ll need to ensure the mattress is wrapped in both bags, sealed and ready before the courier arrives.

30 Year Guarantee

Our guarantee aims to protect our customers for a fixed time. To demonstrate our confidence in our products and undoubtedly our reputation, we will repair or replace the faulty component if your mattress or bed base fails within the set guarantee period. We will bear the expense of correcting faulty workmanship or components.

Our mattresses and beds are guaranteed for 30 years, meaning they should be usable, showing only normal signs of 30 years of wear and tear. However, there should be no complete failure of components. If you believe this is the case, then all you have to do is to contact us.

As our future or present customers have peace of mind that the artisans who make our mattresses and beds have over 95 years of British handcrafting heritage, you are assured of the highest quality at all times and that we will do all we can to keep you happy.

How Will it Feel

The fibres inside a mattress provide the overall feel you will experience, whereas the spring tension, specific to body weight and sleeping position, will determine the level of support you will receive. However, this is where most retailers make mistakes. They focus on the spring tension alone to give them the soft, medium, firm or extra firm feel, which is incorrect as only the fibres inside the mattress will dictate how it will feel. For example, a mattress can have a soft spring and a firm feel.

Preparing for your delivery

To help make sure your two-man room-of-choice delivery goes smoothly, please ensure your room of choice is tidy, clear, and ready to receive your new mattress or bed. In addition, we recommend that you remove any mirrors, hanging pictures or ornaments along the route to the room of choice. Our courier will send you an email or text message a few days before delivery to confirm your delivery date and 3-hour time slot. You will have the option to accept or decline the date and time.

Hold and Delivery Process Disclaimer: Limitation of Liability for Damages

We are not liable for any damages incurred during transit for items held and delivered at a later date as requested by the customer.

The warehouse storage of items is a separate aspect from the transit process and is subject to different conditions and risks. When items are stored in a warehouse, they may be exposed to various hazards such as dust, moisture, temperature fluctuations, handling by third-party personnel, and other factors that can lead to damage. These potential damages are not related to the transit process and therefore, the seller is not responsible for them as the customer has requested for the item to be held and delivered at a later date.

Damage waiver for two-man room of choice

Our courier may ask you to sign a property damage waiver before they take any item upstairs; if this is not ok, please advise us prior, and we will only be able to offer doorstep delivery. If a damage waiver is not requested to be signed by the courier, feel free to contact the courier company regarding any damages if they have occurred. Once the item is despatched, DHL will provide an estimated delivery date. These dates are estimates only and may alter. Winstons Beds cannot be held liable for any delivery delays once the item has been despatched.

This mattress is a like sleeping on a cloud. It is silent when you turn over and supports you all the way to the edge of the bed. I can’t feel my husband moving around at night either which is a bonus! Feels like sleeping in a top hotel every night.
