Hand Teased Fillings
Hand teasing is a labour-intensive process of separating the fibres of the natural fillings used in the layers of the mattress. You will achieve more plush upholstery by carefully hand-teasing the fillings into even layers. Hand teased fillings also provide a luxurious loft, excellent resilience and help regulate body temperature and encourage the evaporation of body moisture. Creating a more comfortable and fresh sleeping environment.
We use a 100% chemical free Lancastrian cotton cover woven by a 200 year old English weaving company to guarantee a breathable and completely chemical free sleeping surface, all to help you sleep in natural comfort.
The Global Organic Textile Standard. The worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres. This includes ecological and social criteria. It is backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain. Winstons Beds believes in serious standards like GOTS.

This mattress can be returned if you inform our Customer Service team within 14 days after delivery. The mattress must not be damaged, marked or soiled. We recommend using a mattress protector during this period to avoid any possible damage.
We’ll raise any refunds when the goods have been returned, processed and checked for damages. Your refund will generally reach your payment method within 5 working days.
Our guarantee aims to protect our customers for a fixed time. To demonstrate our confidence in our products and undoubtedly our reputation, we will repair or replace the faulty component if your mattress topper fails within the set guarantee period. We will bear the expense of correcting faulty workmanship or components.
This mattress topper is guaranteed for 2 years, meaning it should be usable, showing only normal signs of 2 years of wear and tear. However, there should be no complete failure of components. If you believe this is the case, then all you have to do is to contact us.

Delivery lead times
7 working days despatch: The Elite, The Essentials Orthopaedic, The Alderley.
12 working days despatch: The Pro.
5-7 weeks despatch: Mattress Toppers, Bed Linen, The Ancoats, The Rochester, The Dreamer, The Shropshire, The Highland, The Sherwood, The Heritage, The Grand Luxe, The Duke, The No1, The No2.
5-8 Weeks despatch: All Bed Bases & Headboards (unless separate despatch is requested for the mattress).
Monday – Saturday delivery
Delivery available from 7 am to 9 pm for your convenience.
The following mattresses will receive doorstep delivery only: The Elite, The Essentials Orthopaedic, The Pro, The Alderley (Single Size).
The courier will deliver to your doorstep only; they won’t enter your home, assemble the product, or take away old items.
Our courier will contact you 24 hours before confirming your delivery date.
Failed deliveries for doorstep delivery
If goods are returned due to inadequate access or unavailability, charges of £45 to £100 will apply for re-arranging delivery (one-time free delivery offered by Winstons).
Any change of address, availability, or request to change the delivery date once scheduled will be considered a failed delivery, and charges may apply.
Failed deliveries for two-man room of choice delivery
If goods are returned due to inadequate access or unavailability, charges of £43 to £256 may apply for re-arranging delivery (one-time free delivery offered by Winstons).
Any change of address, availability, or request to change the delivery date within 48 hours of the scheduled delivery will be considered a failed delivery, and charges may apply.
Two-man room of choice
The following mattresses will receive two-man room-of-choice delivery only: The Alderley (Double size and above), The Ancoats, The Rochester, The Dreamer, The Shropshire, The Highland, The Sherwood, The Heritage, The Grand Luxe, The Duke, The No1, The No2, Bed Bases, Headboards.
Goods will be delivered to the room of your choice with careful handling by the couriers.
Preparing for your delivery
Ensure your room of choice is tidy, clear, and ready to receive the mattress or bed.
Remove any mirrors, hanging pictures, or ornaments along the route to the room of choice.
Our courier will send you an email or text message a few days before delivery to confirm the date and 3-hour time slot, giving you the option to accept or decline.
Hold and Delivery Process Disclaimer: Limitation of Liability for Damages
We are not liable for damages incurred during transit for items held and delivered at a later date as per customer request.
Warehouse storage conditions may expose items to hazards, and potential damages are not related to the transit process.
Damage waiver for two-man room of choice
Our courier may ask you to sign a property damage waiver before taking items upstairs.
Winstons Beds cannot be held liable for any property damage.
Refusing to sign the damage waiver may result in a failed delivery, and charges may apply.
Collections for Essentials Ortho, Elite, Alderley & Pashmina
Should you find that the mattress doesn’t quite meet your expectations after a minimum of 30 nights and a maximum of 60 nights, please get in touch with us at [email protected], quoting your order number. Please be aware that you’ll need to procure a mattress bag for returning the mattress. We can suggest suitable bags and provide links for where they can be purchased. These bags will be recycled once the mattress is returned to us, and won’t be sent back to you. If, however, you’d like the bags to be returned to you, please inform us when you’re returning the mattress. Bear in mind that you would need to cover the postage cost for us to send the bags back to you.
